Naja credits her father for introducing her love of music. Who knew singing along with him to Simon and Garfunkel at age 4 would lead to a lifetime of musical passion and appreciation?

Naja, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Barry University and M.F.A in acting, writes and performs original music, and has performed in several professional productions. Here in San Francisco, she spends most of her time writing songs, playing guitar, piano, and ukulele!

Teacher Naja loves the play in her Music Together class that teaches acting and music to the youngest of students!

Laurynn's childhood was infused with music right from the start. After becoming a guitarist and saxophonist, she knew she needed to find some way to help others through the innate power she saw in music. She studied music therapy at Berklee College of Music, becoming a board certified music therapist in 2011. She has since worked in a variety of settings including special needs schools, child care, hospitals, senior care facilities and hospice.

Laurynn, holding an MA and teaching credential in Early Childhood Special Education from San Francisco State, enjoys reaching people with music from birth through end of life and her work is a gift to us all.

photo Gina

Gina has been working with kids and their relationship with music and the arts for over 20 years. As an actress in Santa Monica she spent her free time reading to kids in inner city schools. After noticing that their music classes were cut, she began singing to them as well, and never forgot the effect that music had on their young absorbing minds. Years later, when Gina and her daughter took a Music Together class, she thought to herself, "Why don't I teach here too?” Teacher Kelly and Teacher El took her under their wings and she’s been teaching on and off for the past ten years, always brought back by the joy she gets helping kids bring their music competence to a new level. She loves what Music Together has done for her and her family and looks forward to sharing her love of music with other families.

Originally from the Bay Area, Rana began her creative career in junior high with The Belasco Theatre Company, a youth musical theater group that became her second family. She went on to graduate with honors from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in Acting. Studies included acting, dance, song performance, and many other facets of theatre, television, and film arts.

In tandem with pursuing a creative career, Rana has been teaching voice, acting, dance and music, coaching singers and actors one-on-one, and directing both youth productions and adult theatre for over a decade.

Rana feels that introducing young children to music is of the utmost importance to the future of the planet, and to each individual's growth and well-being. She is a trained and certified Canta y Baila Conmigo teacher, as well as a Certification Level One Music Together teacher.

Riki was first introduced to Music Together as a nanny, when she took her charges to classes, and became hooked immediately.

She grew up immersed in music. Singing at home or on road trips was second nature to her family. It was only after she completed her teacher training that she realized just how fortunate she was for this.

Between her love for children and love for music, becoming a Music Together teacher was the clear choice and she has been teaching since 2010.

Riki also sings in choirs, performs in community musical theater and has been known to sing and dance at the grocery store, too.
